Overview
Osmo Top Oil is a clear or transparent oil ideal for treating interior furniture and kitchen worktops made of wood. The use of natural oils and waxes creates an even colour and harmonious appearance whilst protecting your interior wood without cracking, peeling or flaking. The finish is formulated to be food safe, extremely water and chemical resistant and easy to maintain.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface is clean, grease free and clear from dust and frost free.
- Clean old microporous stains (wood oils).
- Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed this can be done by sanding back or using a suitable chemical stripper.
- Fill cracks with a suitable wood filler, larger holes can be repaired with .
- Sand the surface carefully, starting with a coarse sandpaper and finish fine grade. For flooring 120-150 and for furniture 150-240, For kitchen work tops using absorbent hardwoods like Oak or Beech, final sanding grade P120. For very absorbent woods like Pine, sand to a maximum of P150.

Application
Always test a small area of surface to be treated before application to ensure you are happy with the finished look.
- Stir well before use.
- Do not thin, Osmo Top Oil is ready to use.
- Using a , microfibre roller or other suitable brush apply the oil thinly in the direction of the wood grain.
- Allow to dry for approx. 8-10 hours.
- Ventilate well while drying.
- Apply a second coat with a .
- Avoid covering during drying and curing, after 2-3 weeks the surface is fully cured.
- For renovations, one coat applied to a clean dry surface is usually sufficient.
